This large deck girder bridge crosses an overflow of the Minnesota River south of Granite Falls.
Built in 1929, this three span deck girder bridge was built to replace a similar bridge. Originally constructed with trestle approaches, the bridge received upgrades in the early 2000s with new concrete approaches.
Currently, the bridge consists of three deck girder spans, resting on steel towers and concrete bases. The approaches rest on steel and concrete abutments.
Overall, the bridge appears to be in good condition.
The author has ranked this bridge as being locally significant, due to the common design.
